Charioteer of Delphi
The Charioteer of Delphi is a life-size bronze statue of a young man that is on display at the Delphi Archaeological Museum in Delphi, Greece. This masterpiece was part of a bigger sculpture comprising a chariot, fours horses and two charioteers (one of them is this statue), and was found intact in the Sanctuary of Apollo in 1896. This was a votive offering to the Temple of Apollo in 474 BCE to honor the victory in a chariot race in the Pythian Games.
