Prince of the Lilies Fresco
The Prince of the Lilies fresco is one of the well-known Minoan frescoes and is believed to represent a Minoan priest-king. It was reconstructed from the fragments retrieved from the archaeological site at Knossos located on the island of Crete in Greece.
The image shows a copy of this fresco on display at the Corridor of Procession situated inside the Palace at Knossos, which belonged to the Minoans, a mysterious civilization that flourished in Crete and nearby islands from 2600 to 1100 BCE.
