Salón de Embajadores – A lateral wall with horseshoe arches
The Salón de Embajadores (Ambassadors’ Hall) is the most exquisitely decorated hall in the Pedro I Palace. The image shows part of the lateral wall with three stilted horseshoe arches, surrounded by colorful artwork on plaster. Check the Layout of the Pedro I Palace page for the location (section 5) of this hall in the Pedro I Palace.

The Salón de Embajadores was King Don Pedro’s throne room, and this is where he received emissaries and prominent people of his time.
