Ravana abducting Sita
The image shows the east-facing pediment of the gopura that stood on the east side of the outer enclosure of the Banteay Srei Temple, which is located 16 miles northeast of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The structure is not in its original place, instead, lying on the ground nearby. The west-facing pediment of this gopura is in a museum in France.

The bas-relief on the pediment depicts Ravana kidnapping Rama’s wife Sita, a famous scene taken from the episode described in the Hindu epic Ramayana.
