When the Angkor Wat Temple was built, the Bakan, which is the uppermost terrace and the principal sanctuary of the temple, had four entrances and the statue of Vishnu at the center.

Once the temple became a Buddhist monument, three of the entrances were closed, and the statues of Buddha were installed on the vestibule of the closed entrances. The image shows one of them.
