Moat surrounding the Taman Ayun Temple
The image shows the moat that surrounds the Taman Ayun Temple complex in Bali, Indonesia. This temple was built by the Raja of Mengwi in 1634 and dedicated to avatars of Vishnu. The architecture is a blend of Cambodian and Bali styles. Unlike the other temples of Bali, this temple has a wide prakara (compound surrounding the inner sanctum) and a moat.

Because it is located in the Mengwi district of Bali, Taman Ayun is also known as Mengwi Temple.
