Hadrian’s Arch
As a supporter and admirer of Greece, Roman emperor Hadrian toured Greece in 124 CE. He committed vast resources for numerous engineering projects throughout Greece, including the construction of an aqueduct to the Agora in Athens.
Greece and Turkey have many temples and monuments honoring Emperor Hadrian; Hadrian’s Arch is one of them.
