Sinbad Gully in Milford Sound

Sinbad Gully
The image shows a U-shaped valley, known as Sindbad Gully, located next to Mitre Peak in Milford Sound, New Zealand. The valley is formed by the slopes of Mount Philips on the left and Mitre Peak on the right. It is part of the spectacular landscape you see as the boat cruise starts from the Milford Sound cruise terminal.

Sindbad Gully is also a wildlife sanctuary and home to many native species that include Sindbad skink, whio, kiwi, and mohua. The valley shields native species from predators, such as rats and possums.
