Underground tunnel leading toward the Unfinished Well
This image shows the underground tunnel leading toward the Unfinished Well (Poço Imperfeito), a lesser-known counterpart to the Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira. The passage continues through rugged, irregular stonework before reaching the circular interior of the Unfinished Well.
Like other tunnels within the underground network, its rough, cave-like appearance creates the impression of a passage formed naturally within the rock. In reality, the porous stones were deliberately arranged to create this artistic illusion, once again blurring the boundary between nature and human-made structures.
