Captured from the bottom of the Unfinished Well, this image shows an upward view of a chimney-like shaft that narrows as it rises toward the opening above. Unlike the well-engineered Initiation Well, this lesser-known well has a much more irregular appearance, with roughly arranged stones covering its walls. Behind these walls is a staircase, which is currently closed to visitors.

The bottom of the well is accessed through the underground tunnel network, which begins at the mosaic floor at the base of the Initiation Well. At ground level, a protective barrier surrounds the rim of the Unfinished Well.
