Vaulted Ceiling
The image shows a portion of the ceiling above the nave near the Coro (Choir) and Capilla Mayor (Main Chapel) of the Seville Cathedral. Covering the ceiling are the beautiful geometrical patterns that are symmetrical about both the principal axes. The symmetry and curved nature of these patterns make them aesthetically pleasing. The vaulted ceiling rests on tall and massive columns that are lined up along the naves. Just below this ceiling are the stained glass windows. The mesmerizing patterns on the ceiling, tall and massive pillars, and colorful stained glass windows present an awe-inspiring sight for the onlookers.
