Space under the parasols
Located on the La Encarnación square, Las Setas is one of the main tourist attractions in Seville. It is a strange wooden structure resembling a set of mushrooms. Visitors can climb and walk the paths on top and get a 360 degree view of Seville.
Officially known as Metropol Parasol, Las Setas was designed by the German architect Jürgen Mayer and completed in April 2011. It has six umbrella-like structures, known as parasols, and has four levels. The underground level houses a Roma-era museum, known as the Antiquarium. Level 1 is at the street level and level 2 and 3 are the upper floor with walkaways.
