Tanah Lot Temple rock
The Tanah Lot Temple is an iconic landmark of Bali, Indonesia. It was built on a rock formation on the western Bali seashore. This temple was built in the 15th century by a Hindu priest who came to Bali from the Majapahit Kingdom of Eastern Java to spread Hinduism. The temple is dedicated to Dewa Baruna (most likely Varuna of Hindu mythology).
The image shows a section of the rock on which the Tanah Lot Temple was built.
