The souvenir shop is located on a pontoon floating on Tonlé Sap, a freshwater lake located 30 miles south of Siem Reap in Cambodia. In addition to the souvenir shops, the pontoon has a crocodile farm which breeds Siamese crocodiles. The tour boats stop here to show the visitors this farm.

The wild Siamese crocodiles are native to Southeast Asia and are on an endangered species list, but they are farmed in Tonlé Sap.

Tonle’ Sap is home to many floating villages inhabited mainly by the ethnic Vietnamese and Cham. They earn their livelihood by fishing and working on the crocodile farms.
