Viewed from the hillside near the entrance of the Main Cave, this photograph overlooks the Elephanta Island jetty, where ferries from the Gateway of India arrive throughout the day. From this vantage point, visitors enjoy a panoramic view of the island’s lush forested landscape and the surrounding waters of the Arabian Sea.

From the jetty, visitors can take the optional toy train or enjoy a leisurely walk through the market before climbing approximately 120 steps to reach the UNESCO World Heritage-listed cave temples.
