Snakebird in flight
Snakebird is a member of the Darter family and is closely related to the African and American Anhingas. Its official name is Oriental Darter (Anhinga Melanogaster). As you can see, it has a long snake-like neck, hence the name, Snakebird.

Found in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia, it is a water bird that lives hunting fish in freshwater bodies like lakes and rivers.

Located on the banks of Kabini Backwaters, the Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many animals native to India, including tigers, panthers, and elephants.
