Lakshmi – Narasimha
This sculptural relief depicts Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Vishnu, with his consort Lakshmi seated on his lap. In Sanskrit, nara means man and simha means lion.
This relief is mounted on the outer wall surrounding the south garbhagriha of Somanathapura Keshava Temple in Karnataka, India.
