The image shows the inner sanctum of a shrine in the Taman Ayun Temple complex in Bali, Indonesia. It was built by the Raja of Mengwi in 1634 and dedicated to avatars of Vishnu. The architecture is a blend of Cambodian and Balinese styles. Unlike the other temples of Bali, this temple complex has a wide prakara (compound surrounding the inner sanctum) and a moat.
Because it is located in the Mengwi district of Bali, Taman Ayun is also known as Mengwi Temple.
