A gopura on the mid-level gallery
The image shows a part of the middle level gallery in the Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The view was captured from the the uppermost terrace (also known as the Bakan) of the temple.
As you can see, a gopura is in the middle of the image. Stacked above the door are pediments carved with detailed reliefs. The relief on the top pediment is weathered, whereas the bottom is mostly intact. Both the reliefs depict unidentified scenes, most likely from Ramayana (because there is a figure of a monkey in the lower relief).
