Stirling Falls in Milford Sound
With a height of over 150 meters, the Stirling Falls is the second highest fall in Milford Sound. It was named after its discoverer Captain Stirling. In Maori language, it is called Wai Manu, which means Cloud on the Water.
As you can see from the image, the view is spectacular. If the weather is right, tour boats stop near fall to experience the incredible power of the falls. Here is a closer view of the Stirling Falls.
Besides Stirling Falls, there are five other waterfalls in Milford Sound, including Bowen Falls, which is the highest with a height of 162 meters.
