Entrance to the Durga Temple
Just like the majority of the Hindu temples, the Durga Temple in Aihole is an east-facing temple. The image shows the front facade. It has an unusual entrance in that the flight of steps to enter the temple are on the sides, i.e, facing south and north. Check the south side view to see the flight of steps.
