Moche gold head dress
The images shows the head dresses made from gold and alloys of gold, silver and copper portraying faces with feline characteristics. These head dresses were worn by important people in the Moche society, who believed the people who wore them possessed the supernatural powers of the felines.

The Moche culture flourished in northern Peru from 100 CE to 700CE, and wwas contemporary with the Nazca culture in the south.
